Who Are We?
Oakland Chinese Golf Club was founded by 11 golf enthusiasts who wanted to shared their love of golf with the San Francisco Bay Area community. Since its establishment on April 10, 1958, the club has remained open and committed to all players interested in making new friends and improving their game.
Our members play monthly tournaments with a three month winter break from December through February. We welcome players of all levels and backgrounds (you don’t have to be Chinese to join!). The annual trophy events include the Marc Rice Memorial, Club Championship, Director’s Cup, Tournament of Champions, and Daimo Cup events.
When you join OCGC, you also become a member of the Association of International Golf Clubs formerly called the Federation of Chinese Golf Clubs. The Association was organized in 1970 to promote golf activities among various Chinese golf clubs on the West Coast of the US. All members are encouraged to participate in the annual invitational events on Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends, held in California and in the Pacific Northwest respectively.
